Getting the RIGHT Dog
Thinking about having a dog? You might want to know that choosing the right dog is a major decision you have to make. Do keep in mind that you are ready for a dog and understanding dog’s ownership from cost to food and medical.
So if you are VERY sure about this then it is time to talk about what kind of dog is right for you. Consider your current lifestyle and what adjustment you are willing to change for your dog. Think about your partner, your children and those living with you. Both cats and dogs fall into two categories which include purebreds and mixed breeds.
Size could be a big issue as if you want your dog to carry around easily anywhere or you prefer a large dog to accompany you side by side. Or maybe medium sized would be a good choice. Do keep in mind that little dog can be much more sensitive to temperatures so they need to be kept warm often. Large dog need bigger space to move around and they love swinging their tails and a big space is important to avoid tail injury. Large dogs consume more food too!
If you lead a quiet and simple life, an active dog is not suitable for you. The activity level is often known by its breed. Every dog needs routine exercise no matter what breed and size. Bring your dog for a casual walk or make them catch toys as running will keep them fit and healthy.
Since puppies need the most amount of attention and training especially the first six months you need to be prepared in raising them. They will tend to bite a lot and pee all around. If you are often busy, get an adult dog which will be an excellent choice but training will seems a little hard during this age if they are not train before. Senior dogs often being abandon but they can be a great companion.
